When overclocking, especially extreme overclocking, heat can be a huge issue. A CPU’s speed rating states the speed of all processors in the same manufacturing batch can run, basically meaning the speed listed is more than likely lower than the actual abilities of the CPU. If one were to overclock an Intel Core i7 860 it would then be running at a speed higher than 2.80GHz. As an example, an Intel Core i7 860 has a speed of 2.80GHz. Overclocking occurs when you set your CPU and memory to run at a speed that is higher than their official speed grade. Increased heat, permanent damage to the component, voiding warranties, etc.īefore we get too deep into the dangers, let’s take a look at what exactly overclocking is… But, of course, there are dangers that come along with something as magical as overclocking. You can buy a less powerful (and less expensive) component, and then overclock to match the speeds of a more powerful (and more expensive) component. Off the bat, overclocking sounds awesome. The overall goal of overclocking typically is to increase the operating speed of the given hardware. Be sure to check the WIP list in their discord/website and some videos before buying so you know what you're buying but I do recommend this aircraft for people interested in the Connie.Overclocking occurs when you push a component or computer to perform faster and more powerfully than it was originally designed for. External textures are underwhelming and too uniform. Modeling of the exterior is also incorrect in a few places and needs to be tidied up. Sound needs an overhaul as the engines lack oomph and the interior sounds are absent. Scratches are too evenly placed and consistent, whereas true wear would be in hot spots and not around gauges typically other than where paint has faded or peeled. Currently they are worn for the sake of being worn. Textures are mostly good but they need to hire someone to breathe new life into the panels. In that time, I've also encountered many of its shortcomings. There's too much to type here but in general, I've flown the Connie for over 10 hours and I have had a lot of fun. I've seen two predominant perspectives (with some folks being in the middle): 1) The aircraft has a ton of potential and it's enjoyable already and 2) The aircraft is nowhere near ready for release and isn't worth the price. It's difficult to review an aircraft in early access.
